This weekend offers the annual THIS IS SPAIN EXHIBITION,which takes place from Friday 27 may - Sunday 29 May at the Hotel La Zenia, south of Torrevieja between 10.00am - 6.00pm. The show features a large array of products and services.Always a fantastic day for everyone. Entrance fee is 1 euro.

Today an owner on Complejo Terrace was confronted at her door by two men in Iberdrola uniforms,
asking for her to sign a new contract and to pay them money up front.
Fortunately she never allowed them into her property or gave them anything.
It has been reported in the local papers that these guys are taking advantage of the confusion thats been created
by the ICP installation and new contracts Iberdrola are trying to get people to take up.
Iberdrola will not send out people knocking on doors and taking money, you have to go to their offices to
renew contracts. So be carefull and don,t be conned by these crooks.
Rental Agencies
Can anyone recommend any good rental agencies for long term lets or does anyone know of any private individuals who would like to rent out their property (min 3 beds and pool preferred).Not Monte Azul or Lo Crispin.

We are currently renting and I must say that I found it difficult to find rental agencies. If you google it, you dont get much coming up. We are due to move out of our current rental at the end of the summer and I would be interested too in any recommendations for rental agencies.
I agree - you talk to people and they say that there are loads of rental properties out there but when you try to find one, no luck. There are 1000´s of properties that seem to be sitting empty - where are the owners? I know that renters sometimes get a bad name and I am sure that there are some rogue ones out there but for those of us who pay rent regularly and look after the properties, it is difficult. There used to be hundreds of properties listed in the free papers but now you are lucky to find any. And the number of agents dealing with rentals seems to be going down too.

We went last night and it was really good value fore money. Advisable to book though because we had to wait a while, as it is very popular.
